About Us
The Board of Directors for the Social Security Wilkes-Barre Child Development Center is comprised of a diverse member of SSA employees and members of the community. As board members, our responsibilities are to ensure the Center will provide a high quality child care program to families; to guarantee the federal and community needs are being fulfilled; and make sure the childcare center operations are feasible. The board is responsible for the oversight of the childcare provider contract and their operation of the Center to ensure quality and affordable child care for center families.

Board initiatives include raising funds for the Tuition Assistance Program, financial support for center programming, and advocating for a family friendly work environment.
